Note to Self

Stop leaving home for ANY reason without your camera! Sheesh!

You'd think by now I'd have learned and it would be second nature for me to just grab my camera - at least one of the two - before leaving home for anything. There are a lot of times I remember. But there are also a lot of times I still forget. This morning for example. Patty called; Chris finally got himself locked out last night (though it's still unknown if he plans to come back) so she needed me to take the dog out this morning. Since he destroyed his frisbee (which was hilarious to see, by the way) I figured the next best thing would be to just take him for a nice long walk. Good for him and good for me all at once. I took him up the hill, which at the time was still heavily clouded with fog. Well when we reached the top of the hill I looked over across the valley to the other hill that's in the middle of the woods, and the morning sun was juuuuuust beginning to break through the fog ever so slightly. It was a stunning sight to see. And stupid me did not have my camera to capture it. I'm going to have to make it a point to get up the hill early again the next foggy morning we have and hopefully I'll get another beautiful scene like today. We have a lot of foggy mornings, living so close to the river and all. It's just a matter of getting my anti-morning self out of bed early enough to see it. I love the fog, you'd think that would be enough to make me get out of bed in the mornings. But it's not. I do really love it though; how it completely changes the scenery around you and turns it into something mysterious and magical; it's like you're walking through a completely different and unknown world even though it's all very familiar to you once the fog clears.

Yeah, it's funny how the most amazing stuff always shows up when we DON'T have our cameras with us, isn't it. That's happened to me lots of times, and still, I keep forgetting to take the cam with me... *rolls eyes*

Re: your comment on "Questions": It's interesting how we get upset when people don't talk to us, and we don't stop to wonder that maybe they're doing that because we did it to them first... or something. I dunno. It's just weird...

G'morning, Leah. Thanks for letting me know about the URL problem. I've notified the techs about it and I'm waiting to hear back from them, now. I know writing isn't for everyone, and I really appreciate that you tried.

I hope they get it resolved soon too, Leah. This is really frustrating... I've looked into these errors, and from everything I've read, it's the server the links are being directed to that causes the problem, not individual browsers. There is a work-around, though:

Click the image to get to the error page. Then, highlight and copy the URL in the address bar. Then, open a new window or clear off the address bar and paste in the URL and hit Enter. That will take you to my page. It's a pain in the butt to do it that way, but at least you'll get to see my page. The article I wrote is near the bottom of the right side of the page. *rolls eyes*

I'd love to see your pictures. You always take such amazing photos, Leah.
